Beth Ann Doula Services

Beth Ann Martin, MPH, CLC, CD/PCD(DONA)

Certified Birth
Doula

Whether you are desiring an unmedicated, all of the interventions, water birth or a VBAC, having a doula join your birth team. A 2021 study supports that hiring a doula lowers the rate of cesarean by 52% and a 60% decrease in requests for an epidural. No matter the route you take, I am here for you!

Certified Postpartum Doula

Lack of sleep is one of the biggest adjustments to life with a newborn. Postpartum support, whether daytime or overnight support with a doula can greatly improve your overall well being. Postpartum support can be catered to the needs of you and your little babe.

Certified Lactation Counselor

I attended UC San Diego’s Human Lactation program and graduated in 2021. I am a qualifying IBCLC candidate and will graduate from NC A&T in 2023 and take my international boards next year.

all about Beth Ann!

Originally from Northern Virginia, I now live and call North Carolina home. Maternal health has been a longtime passion of mine and it continues to grow. I love learning the most up to date practices and educating clients on making decisions that they are comfortable with.

I received my Master’s Degree in 2018 in Public Health with a focus on maternal and fetal health. Incorporating my grad work into time with clients is very rewarding. During college, I experienced a life-changing moment while working on humanitarian efforts in Uganda, Africa with a safe house for women and children. This was further confirmation I was being led to women’s health, and specifically, a career as a doula. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula with DONA International. I am also a certified lactation counselor and sit for my IBCLC boards September 2023.

I have experience working with those that have have struggled with infertility and persons with mental health concerns or disorders.

I look forward to connecting with you soon!

When I am not doula-ing or providing lactation support…

You can find me in the kitchen cooking, on the couch with a book in hand and my fur-child, Nelson MeowDoula or working out!

I aspire to help the birthing person throughout their pregnancy while maintaining a positive, and empowering environment. I look forward to supporting you through your journey of pregnancy, birth, and into parenthood.

Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, I will be providing services as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, in addition to Lactation Counseling. I will serve a 50 mile radius of zip CODE 27282.
